Kathua, Feb.27: Irked by the mal-functioning of non-government organization that has assignment to prepare adhaar cards in Kathua city, people pointed out pick & choose policy of NGO and alleged that preference has been given to influential and known persons. Parveen Sharma, a transporter, said NGOs prefer influential and known persons to complete their formalities for preparing Adhaar Cards whereas common man stands remain in queue for whole the day. He criticized the working of NGO and demanded more staff for speeding up the preparation process. Bishamber Dass, a senior citizen, said the government has not issued any notification separately for preparation of Adhaar Cards of those who could not appear in general preparation process. He sought separate notification for left out candidates so as everyone can have the knowledge of preparation of Adhaar cards.Prem Chand, an ex-service man, said he visited several times in the office but left without submitting documents for preparation of Adhaar cards. He said long queue of aspirants affected the work of NGO and demanded additional staff to make the work smooth and fast. He appealed to DDC Kathua to intervene the preparation process for speeding up. Yogesh Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Asha Rani, Anjali Kumari and many other expressed resentment against NGO and demanded pace in the preparation work. |
