JAMMU, Feb. 27: A Business Tech Fest "Spardha" 15 was organized by the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) here today.
Prof Meenakshi Kilm-Director, Internal Quality Assurance-University of Jammu was the Chief Guest, while Annil Suri-President Bari Brahmana Industrial Association and Prof M R Rana-Ex Prof The TBS, University of Jammu were the Guests of Honor.
Prof. Sameer Gupta BZ School University of Jammu, Brig KS Chauhan, General Manager Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Ajay Kapoor, Managing Director, Sharekhan, Janvi Sudan, Technical Counsellor, HCL, CDC, Er. Rahul Pandit, Director, ActIT, Parveen Raina, Director, V-Node, IT Solutions were the Special Guests in the meet.
The function began with the lightening of the lamp by Chief Guest Prof Meenakshi Kilm in presence of Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman-JGEI, Th Shivdev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI, Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI, Dr Seema Narain, Director-YCET, Prof J R Dhotra, Director-IMS & other dignitaries.
The special invitees Meenakshi Kilm and Prof Desh Bandhu Gupta in their interactive address appreciated the talent of the students. They also congratulated the College Management and other staff members for organizing this significant fest. Another special invitee Annil Suri also on the occasion gave valuable inputs.
Earlier Er Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman-JGEI, presented welcome address to special invitees and gave brief account of achievements made by IMS.
The MBA/BCA students of Management Colleges, Business Schools & Computer Sciences, from Business School-University of Jammu, Central University-HRM & OB, Jammu, MBS, MIET, GCW Parade, SPMR College of Commerce, Trikuta College, New Modern College & IMS participated in this festivity . Atleast five events in Business Management and six events in Information Technology were held in which participated contested. IMS student presented a colourful cultural programme which attracted huge appreciation and applaud from audience. The Judges for Business events were Prof Sameer Gupta, TBS, University of Jammu, Ex Prof M R Rana, TBS, University of Jammu, Annil Suri, President, Bari Brahmana Industrial Association, Ajay Kapoor, Managing Director, Sharekhan, Gagandeep Singh, Executive Officer-CII & for Information Technology while the panle of experts Janvi Sudan, Technical Counsellor, HCL, CDC, Er. Rahul Pandit, Director, ActIT, Parveen Raina, Director, V-Node, IT Solutions, Yogesh Gupta, BZ Head, V-Node, IT Solutions & Shelender Singh, V-Node, IT Solutions & Rahul Pandit, Director, ACTIT adjudged the performance of events held under management category.
In Business Quiz, IMS secured 1st position, while the Central University Jammu ended as runners up and the same ranks were secured respectively by the both in Ad Mad show. In Perception Games, IMS was declared winners and 2nd position was secured by MBS whereas in Extempore, IMS claimed 1st position while TBS, University of Jammu got 2nd position and in in Treasure Hunt, Central University Jammu secured 1st position while IMS got 2nd position. In IT Quiz Trikuta College scored 1st position while GCW, Parade got 2nd position. In Web Designing Trikuta College scored 1st position. In Project Demo, IMS scored 1st position while GCW Parade bagged 2nd position. In Online Gaming IMS scored both 1st as well as 2nd position. In Debate on IT New Modern College scored 1st position while IMS got 2nd position & in IT Shop IMS scored 1st position. IMS was adjudged the overall outstanding winner team of the event Management & IT Fest Spardha 2015. Prof Desh Bandhu Gupta-Director, Colleges Development Council University of Jammu, presented prizes and certificates to the participating teams. |
