Jammu, Feb 27: Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School organized a variety of programmes today in the premises of the school compound to celebrate its annual day function. On the occasion, MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma was the Chief Guest while Chander Mohan Gupta and Manmohan Singh were special guests. The function started with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries on the occasion. Students presented a commendable cultural extravaganza with full enthusiasm and enthralled the audience with their performances. Prizes for outstanding students in different fields in the shape of shields, cash, etc. Later free uniforms were given by the management to the needy students. More than 2000 parents enjoyed the programmes. The function came to an end with bright faces and appreciation by the masses. At the end, the Chairman Managing Committee Subhash Chander Suri and the Principal expressed sincere gratitude for the guests, invitees, parents, staff and the students. |
