DIG Jammu holds meeting with PPCPL

Jammu, Apr 2: Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu and General Secretary of the Mega Cricket league in presence of Rajeshwar Singh SSP and CEO of the league held meeting with the owners of "Police Public Cricket Premier League for J&K Cricketers" at Police Officers G.O. Mess Jammu. A threadbare discussions were held regarding the objective & conduct of the tournament. During the discussion it was requested by the owners that in the Auction the owners may be permitted to purchase 6 players instead of 4 players. The DIG Jammu after taking the views of all owners accepted this request and he also directed all teams owners to show great sportsmen spirit in the matches and involves more and more youths in sports so that they may not involve in drugs and join us to promote the sports culture at Jammu.
The General Secretary DIG Jammu further disclosed that within a couple of days DGP J&K Police, Who is the Chairman of the PPCPL will hold Press Conference at PHQ thereafter Trials, Auction will be conducted and if whether permits the tentative date of inauguration of the PPCPL is 13th of April,2015. The DIG Jammu also disclosed the Cash Prizes in this tournament which involves Rs. 5 lac. for Winner team, 3 lac for runner team, 2 lac. for third place,1.5 lac. for 4th place, Win in every match Rs.10,000, Man of the Series Rs.50,000, Best batsman Rs.25,000, Best bowler Rs.25,000, Most sixes in a match Rs.2,000, Man of the Match in every match Rs.3,000 and Best Catch Rs.1000.
Rajesh Gill Organizing Secretary of the tournament discussed the rules and composition of the teams. He also disclosed that the trails shall be conducted at Bhaderwah, Udhampur, Rajouri, Kathua and Jammu in which Selection of the Cricketers shall be conducted by the Former Ranji Players and Selectors of JKCA and the selected players will be placed for auction.
The selection committee of Bhaderwah includes Rajesh Gill, Sameer Malik and Shafkat Baba, Selection committee for Udhampur includes Rajesh Gill, Vinay Gupta, Vivek Sharma, Dy.S.P Pawan Sharma , Selection Committee for Rajouri includes Rajesh Gill, Dy.SP DAR ,Satwant Singh, Ankush Gupta, Selection Committee for Kathua includes Rajesh Gill,Surinder Singh Bagal, Vivek Sharma, Deeraj Gupta, Inspector Ragubhir Singh whereas the Selection Committee for Jammu includes RK Bhat,Rajesh Gill,Shahid Parvez, Ashwani Gupta, Rajesh Dhar. The Organizing Secretary further disclosed that we have entertained tens teams for participation in this PPCPL which includes Simula Superstars owned by Hilal Rather M.D Simula Group, Bhaderwah Panthers owned by Shafkat Baba, Ishar Daredevils owned by Sanjeev Pavit Singh (Businessman), Baba Rishi Lions owned by MLA Shujja Alam, Jammu Khalsa Kings Eleven owned by Avtar Singh Khalsa (Businessman), Jammu Royal Choice Eleven owned by S. Sukhwinder Singh (Businessman), Mirza Gladiators owned by Ahsan Mirza (Srinagar), Suriya Milk Risers owned by Satish Gupta, AG Royals owned by Amit Blowria, and the JKP Tigers. He further disclosed that no more registration of any team
Will be entertained and the participating ten teams shall be divided into two pools and every team will play with each other in the first round of league matches.
The other committee members and officiating members who attended the meeting are Rajnish Pran SO to DIG, Parshotam Sharma DDP RPHQ, DY.S.P. Shahid Parvez, Ashwani Gupta Former Ranji Player, Surinder Singh Bagal Former Ranji Player (VCC), Vinay Gupta (VCC), Satwant Singh (VCC), Vivek Sharma Former Ranji Player, Rajesh Dhar (Jt.Secretary), Insp.Satinder Singh, Sudhir Singh,RP Singh, JD Singh, Saleem Ul Rehman, Sadiq Hussain, Asif Gill,Suhail , Sandeep, Yogesh and Vinod.
