Aryans Group of Colleges launches scholarship scheme for JK girls
4/2/2015 10:44:36 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 2: Aryans Group of Colleges today launched special scholarship scheme for needy and deserving girls of Jammu and Kashmir under "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" scheme.
The scheme was launched today in a function held at Hotel Surya Excellency, Jammu. On the occasion a toll free helpline 1800-30000-388 was also launched. Interested students can apply for scholarship by giving a missed call on that.
Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Dr. Anshu Kataria while addressing the press conference said, "Under this scheme 25 girls would be benefitted in which 50% of scholarship will be provided by the college and rest 50% will be financed in shape of Education Loan on Engineering and Diploma Courses."
Kataria further added that the scheme is to enable the financially constrained girls to explore their potential in engineering and technology fields as it's very difficult to pursue quality technical education in the Colleges of other states and that too near Chandigarh because of unaffordable expenses. This scheme would foster the desire of girls to pursue technical education, by paying lesser fees.
Director General, Aryans Group, Dr. Parveen Kataria said that each one of us has a collective responsibility towards this end; otherwise we would not only be harming the current generation, but also inviting a "terrible crisis" for the future generations. He appealed that maximum girl should take the benefit of the scheme so that dropout rate among girl students could be lowered.
