Depute team to access losses to public in twin hilly districts : Aijaz Naik | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 2 : Expressing deep concerns over the miseries of the people in mountainous district of Kishtwar, the State General Secretary Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Aijaz Naik today said that the people in twin hilly districts viz. Doda and Kishtwar were worst affected due to the ongoing hostilities of weather and appealed to the Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed to depute a special team to access the losses to public and government property in these twin Districts He also demanded smooth supply of essential commodities to address acute shortage of drinking water, food grains, Kerosene Oil, LPG and etc. Urging upon the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed to depute a special team to access the losses to public and government property in twin hilly districts of Jammu region, Sr NCP leader Naik said Jammu-Kishtwar National Highway was blocked since long as PWD and R&B department have failed to maintain it. He said that many people were trapped at Jammu and Kishtwar and demanded immediate airlifting of trapped passengers at Kishtwar and Jammu and particularly the trapped people of Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan and remote areas of Padder. Highlighting miseries of people especially in remote areas, he said that many houses suffered massive to partial damages, beside the agriculture land and orchids also suffered heavy losses. He also urged upon the state government to airlift the AIEEE entrance aspirants to Jammu so that they could appeared in entrence test schedule to be held on 04-04-2015 at Jammu. |
