'Bad road connectivity triggers wreath among villagers' 4/2/2015 11:52:26 PM Early Times Report Billawar, Apr 2 : Bad road connectivity in Tehsil Billawar triggered wreath among dozens of villagers hailing from village staged massive protest demonstration against PWD and sought black topping on Penthal- Berial road besides severe inquiry against contractor and JE who used sub-standard material in construction of Drainage system along the road. During the protest, Akther Ali Sarpanch of Panchayat Pallan condemned the construction work being done by Public Work department few months back where sub-standard material was used that caused damage in drainage system few days after construction. He sought severe inquiry against contractors and JE who made money in construction work. Sarpanch condemned bad road connectivity that connected three to four villages and 7000-8000 villagers use the road every day. The road is filled with pits and water gets collected on the road. He said people are suffering due to bad road connectivity as department constructed drainage with sub-standard material and now impediment to black topping the road. He sought immediate redress of their demands which would bring respite for several villagers. The protesters sought special package for the construction of road as people have been affected for long but former MLA deliberately ignored the suffering of villagers and brought development works in his favorite areas.
