Rajouri, Apr 2 : On the directions from Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deepati Uppal, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri has constituted various teams in the district to ensure proper facilities as ordered by the State High Court to the student fraternity at private tuition centers. Following instructions from Deputy Commissioner Rajouri the team comprising Additinal Depety Commissioner Mohd Saleem Malik, Additional SP, Tajender Singh and AH Fani CEO today paid surprise visits to about 13 such tuition centre operating in the Rajouri city and gross irregularities i.e. functioning. Chief Education Officer AH Fani said that about 35 tuition centres have been operating illegally in the entire district including at tehsil headquarters at Sunderbani, Kalakot, Nowshera, Thanamandi, Kotranka and Darhal. "Out of 13 centres visited by the team 3 were found open and others were closed. As per court directions, the facilities at each tuition centre shall include details of tuition fee, separate toilet facilities for boys and girls, proper heating arrangements, proper space, drinking water facilities, besides installation of CCTV cameras and reservation of free admission upto 10% of the total intake capacity in each class/course for the students who are destitute, orphans or belong to BPL category.
Meanwhile committees constituted by Deepati Uppal, DDC have been asked to furnish compliance reports for taking appropriate action against those centres which do not comply with the J&K Regulation of Private Tuition Center Rules, 2010 issued by the State government in this regard.
