Jammu, Apr 3: A deputation of AIBCU under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik met with the Social Welfare Minister Bali Bhagat and put forth the long pending demands of the state OBCs. According to press release, Abdul Majid Malik said the OBCs regarding, making the state commission for backward classes meaningful with its chairman from the OBC category with all the four members from among the OBCs. "Upper caste is not acceptable. NC-Congress regime used to give financial benefits to their own men with directions to work against the State OBCs, " he alleged and added State OBC-Advisory and Development Board be handed over to the State OBCs with out going into Politics in order to expand your Political Party. "Due representation in the upper house by nominating at least three OBC members not related to any Political party under Art 50 of JK Constitution. For this union has already sent a letter to Governor on March 26, 2015, the day of receipt of information under RTI from Law Department, " he stated. He further said that all the persons who accompanied the deputation appealed the Social Welfare Minister to act differently as compared to ousted NC-Congress regime and fulfill the long pending demands of the State OBCs. Besides the deputation also approached Dr. Nirmal Singh the Dy. Chief Minister who refused to meet the only deputation at the end. Among others who accompanied the deputation included Raj Kumar, Hm Sandokh Chand, Rajinder Singh, Girdhari Lal, Master Sain Dass, Mohinder Kumar, Daulat Ram, Deepak Panday, Brij Mehra, Romesh Kumar, Nijam-ud-Mohd Ashraf, HD Betab, Mohammad Arfan, Sita Ram, Mohammad Kabir and Prof. Kali Dass. |
