Kishtwar, Apr 5: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union District Kishtwar has expressed serious concern over the blocked Batote Kishtwar national highway due to which there is apprehension of starvation. In a statement issued here, Joginder Bhandari Chairman of the union said that there is an acute shortage of essestial commodities like vegetable, food grains, pluses, mutton, kerosene oil, LPG and others in the market due to the blocked of road and the people of the district are facing hardship on this account. He also said that students appearing in various examinations in Jammu and other places have been trapped at many places and are unable to appear in their examinations due to the blocked of roads . He stressed upon the government to immediatly put men and machinery in force on Batote Kishtwar in order to clear the landslides and all the examinations of Jammu University commencing from April 7 2015 should be postponed till the road is restored. |
