Jammu, Apr 5: Showing thumb to the Police Headquarters (PHQ), an influential cop managed his choice postings at the behest of an IGP, undermining the supremacy of PHQ.
A Sub Inspector, giving two hoots to the order of the DGP K Rajindera, managed his postings according to his will, in the process dodging the SSP concerned who, complying with the PHQ order, relieved him for the Armed Wing.
The Sub Inspector recently had managed his posting in Jammu Kathua range. The process of bypassing the order of PHQ started in the year 2012 when K Rajindera Kumar , during his brief spell as the officiating DGP, ordered repatriation of armed police officers who were enjoying postings as SHOs in Executive Wing of Police. While, other police officers joined back their parent wing, this SI approached then IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar Yadav and accordingly Z PHQ dated 7/9/2013 transferred him to Rajouri-Poonch range and posted him as SHO Sunderbani. By then, K Rajindera was replaced by Ashok Prasad as DGP J&K. The said SI remained as SHO till Rajindera retuned as DGP.
This cop came to limelight when SSP Rajouri started receiving complaints against him and accordingly SSP Rajouri Haseeb Mugal dated 7/3/2015 relieved him for Armed Wing. Though, in SSP's record the cop was relieved for the Armed wing, but enjoying his close proximity with then IGP Jammu, he managed his positing in Jammu again on 14/3/2015. IGP Rajesh Kumar Yadav transferred this cop the same day after the announcement of his own transfer as Director SKPA Udhampur. This cop was allotted Samba district but that was not his choice posting and yet again this order was modified and he was allotted Jammu district. |
