| JAMMU, Apr 5: J&K Planning Ministry has refused any increase in the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of the state lawmakers for lack of resources. The lawmakers are getting Rs 1.5 crore if CDF a year to manage the critical local requirements if their constituencies. They were seeking doubling the allocations. "The plan allocation for the stare has remained static / constant for the last three years at Rs 7300 crore, " the planning ministry said. "Due to increase in revenue component, from Rs 1333.46 crore during 2012-13 to Rs 1994.22 crire during 2014-15, the capital component has git significantly reduced." So keeping this in view, the ministry said, it is impossible to enhance the allocations under CDF. CDF, it is worth mentioning here, is operational in the state since 1997. Initially an amount of Rs 25 lakh per MLA was allotted which was enhanced to Rs 35 lakh during 2004-05, Rs 50 lakh in 2009-10 and to one crore rupees in 2011-12.
