Jammu, Apr 5: A delegation of National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) is going to meet the Prime Minister, Union Finance Minister and Minister of State (PMO) in May to urge for providing a special financial package of Rs. 2000 Crore to J&K government to meet expenditure on account of regularization of sixty one thousand daily rated workers in the State. Addressing the media persons, president Subhash Shastri disclosed that during the meeting with Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitely and Dr. Jatinder Singh, the NMC delegation will urged for providing such a package so that in one go all the sixty one thousand daily rated workers are regularized and the financial extended benefit to them without any delay. He said that the delegation will also remind the Central leaders of the Commitment they had made during the parliamentary and J&K State Assembly elections that if voted to power, the issue of regularization of 61 thousand daily rated workers working in the various departments in J&K would be addressed suitably. He hoped that keeping in view the laudable work being done both by Central and the J&K Govt, the long pending demand of the daily wagers would be solved once for all. Creating of separate wage head in each department of the state government for timely disbursement of their wages, release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in irrigation and flood control department, PWD, PDD, PHE and other departments of the state government, strictly implementing CP fund deduction schemes in all departments of state government, removal of all pay anomalies of clerical cadre in SRO 93, enhancing monthly wages of daily rated workers to Rs. 10,000 per month besides increasing medical allowance to Rs. 1,000 per month were other demands highlighted on the occasion. Among others who were present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Surinder Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Sudesh Bhagat, Girdhari Lal Bhagat, Sudesh Kumar, Paramjeet, Mohammad Shafi and others. |
