Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 13: Displaced Kashmiri Pandit dwellers of the Jagti Township, Nagrota today organized a massive candle light procession from Jagti Refugee settlement which culminated in front of the Press Club, Jammu.
Protest demonstration was held by the displaced Kashmiri Pandits to protest against the communal and fundamentalist stand of the Kashmiri separatists of all hues who have opposed the settlement of the community in Kashmir Valley.
Lambasting the jihadis and separatists beside their overground supporters in the Legislative Assembly like Engineer Rashid and other representatives of the so called mainstream parties like National Conference and PDP Jagti dwellers said that the people who indulged in the religious cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits have no right to dictate terms to the nationalist Kashmiri Pandits.
Kashmiri Pandits will return to a consolidated one place in Kashmir free from Kashmiri Muslim community and jihadi mentality.
Kashmiri Pandits need complete empowerment in terms social, cultural, political, economic, religious and educational rights. It is possible only when the core issue of Kashmiri Pandits' genocide is addressed and killers of the community brought to justice.
Taking serious note of Engineer Rashid's insensitive statement regarding the KPs, president All Migrant Relief Holders Association Ajay Bhat said, "By asking the KPs to apologize for the migration he has revealed the mindset that is prevalent in the majority community of Kashmir."
Meanwhile, various Kashmiri Pandit organizations have called for Jagti Bandh tomorrow in protest against the fundamentalist stand of the separatist leadership.
The organizations have appealed the non-camp Kashmiri Pandits to also lodge protest in their respective areas.
