Coalition Govt: BJP's report card fails to impress RSS | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 13: Organisations affiliated to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are not happy with the one and half month performance of BJP ministers in the coalition government headed by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Strong resentment brewing Sangh cadre against performance of party minister because majority of the workers are of the view that instead of pursuing "nationalist" agenda BJP ministers are more concerned about their personal agenda. Credible sources said that during a meeting with senior RSS functionary on Sunday, Sangh Parivar workers openly aired their views against party ministers in the coalition government. Sangh cadre drew attention of the leadership towards failure of the party ministers to establish contact with grass-root level workers. Workers alleged that instead of establishing connect with the workers at the ground level, BJP ministers are giving preference to power brokers who were earlier close to Congress and National Conference Ministers. These influential power brokers have influenced BJP ministers to such an extent that ministers taking decisions on the dictates of these power brokers. Sources said that Sangh Parivar workers are annoyed over the way BJP ministers have surrendered before its coalition partner as far as making of policy decisions are concerned. Since March 1 when this government was formed not even a single policy decision has been taken which suits Sangh Parivar ideology. The BJP ministers have rather started toeing lines of Hurriyat Conference and other separatists as far as water agreements with Union Government in concerned. The only concern before BJP Ministers is to depute officers of their own choice in their respective constituencies on the directions of these power brokers. |
