Jammu, Apr 13 : To create mass awareness about Consumer Rights and duties in Jammu & Kashmir, a consumer awareness programme was organized today jointly by Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) and Consumer Protection Organization (CPO), Jammu & Kashmir.
Choudhary Zulfiqar Ali, minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD)and Tribal Affairs was the Chief Guest of the function and G S Chib, Director, CA & PD was the Guest of Honour. Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, presided over the function and presented bouquets and mementoes to the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI welcomed D.R. Danish, President CPO and K.L. Magotra, General Secretary, CPO by presenting bouquets and mementoes. The event started with Lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest .To invoke celestial blessings, Ganesh Vandana was performed by the students. Faculty members, officers, staff and all the students of YCET participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Dr. Seema Narain, Director, YCET, in her welcome address briefed the august gathering about the programme and commitment of Yoganada College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) towards Consumer Protection Rights. |
