DGPC, Jammu celebrates the birth anniversary of Khalsa Panth 4/14/2015 11:04:31 PM ET Report Jammu, Apr 14: Sikh Devotees celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Khalsa Panth throughout the world's Gurdwara's. The main function in Jammu was organized by District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC, Jammu) at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu in which thousands of Sikh Devotees across the Jammu city and other surrounding area participated. Ragi Jatha Bhai Davinder Singh, Iqbal Singh (Rababi) Jalandhar Wale, Ragi Jatha Bhai Karam Singh Noorpuri Kurushetra Wale and Prof. Manjit Singh Ex- Jathedar Takhat Shri Keshgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib Punjab and local Ragi Jatha's Sahib District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Jammu recited the Gurbani Kirtan on this occasion, local Parcharak of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Jammu threw light on the history of Khalsa Panth. On the occasion a resolution regarding long pending demand were unanimously adapted regarding rehabilitation package after 1947 Pak Refugees, minority commission, and to get the fair deal that the Sikh community in the state be given reservation quota of atleast 2% in all the educational/technical institutions as also in employment on the pattern of the reservation given to the minorities of the other communities in the state as well as other states of the country and promotion of Punjabi language and name of road from Bikram Chowk to University, Guru Gobind Singh Marg establishing chair in the name of Guru Gobind Singh in Jammu University and installation of statue of Great Saint Soldier of Baba Banda Singh Bhadur at Kunjwani Chowk, Jammu.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
