AWICT celebrates Baisakhi, Ambedkar Jayanti at Balika Niketan 4/14/2015 11:04:42 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 14: Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust on Tuesday celebrated festive colours of Baisakhi with children of Balika Niketan, Amphalla, Jammu with great fervour and gritty. Aditi Sharma, president of Trust, who is also a prominent social workers and women- child right activists along with her team visited Balika Niketan and distributed gifts and sweets among the children. Speaking on the occasion, Aditi told the children to opt good habits in life. She asked the growing up children to help younger members of the hostel in studies. She also appealed them to respect the elders and teachers and study to become good human being. They also interacted with inmates of Balika Niketan and apprised them about importance of Baisakhi festivals and contribution of B R Ambedkar for drafting the Constitution of India. Later, to mark celebrations of B R Ambedkar's 126th birth anniversary, Aditi along with children cuts a cake, which was distributed among the children. The inmates also mesmerized guests with spectacular dance and signing performances. The audience appreciated the performances and give reward to participants.
