'Baba Sahib' would be unhappy to see disparity, discrimination within Society: Manjit

Vijaypur, Apr 14: While regretting the disparity with down trodden and underprivileged, Former Minister and state General Secretary of Congress party Manjit Singh today said Baba Sahib Ambedakar would be unhappy to see disparity, discrimination within society.
While paying homage to Baba Sahib Ambedkar on his birth anniversary at Vijaypur at a function, Former Minister and state General Secretary of Congress party Manjit Singh said that the ideology of Ambedkar was still incomplete because our society still remained unchanged due to existing inequality.
"Though some changed were brought in the society to end discrimination and disparity among the different sections of society yet still a lot has to be done, he said while recalling Baba Sahib's efforts to bring equality among the people, especially neglected classes.
He said that his most contribution to the nation was constitution of India. However, today the saffron parties trying to create disturbance and want changes in the constitutions to achieve their political motives which is unfortunate. He said that the people should follow the foot step of Ambedkar and work for the people of neglected classes and work to bring equality in the society.
He warned that people should remain aware of those elements bent upon to create disturbance in the society which hampers the development of the Country.
Manjit Singh also participated in a function organized at a Gurudwara at a border village Abtal on the occasion of Baisakhi where he was felicitated by the Sikh community.
Speaking on occasion, he said that the farmers have nothing to celebrate in view of destruction of their fields in Ramgarh sector due to flash floods.
