Private Schools disobey Holiday orders, parents seek intervention of Education Minister | | | Early Times Report Kupwara, April 14: While government has announced order to all schools to remain closed for Baisakhi Holiday, some private schools in Kupwara continue to remain functional even Govt orders. A delegation of parents today alleged that instead of following the government order to close down schools, the private schools continue to remain open. "Our children are attending school and the private school administration demand fee for the month of September-October even the directorate of school education had order that fee concession for the month of September-October", they said. When contacted Chief Education Officer Kupwara said, "We have not received any complaint from any parent till now. If we receive complaint against any school keeping the classes open, despite announcement of Baisakhi Holiday, we will take stringent action," the CEO said. "Those whose kids are still made to attend schools, should bring the complaint in my notice and I will take immediate action against the offending school authorities," he added. |
