Early Times Report

JAMMU, May 9: Following infiltration bid having been foiled from across Poonch sector by killing one militant on Fridayfresh alert against repeated ingress bids has been sounded on the Line of Control (LoC) and on the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir.
High placed official sources said that the Army personnel have been instructed to complete the repair of border fence wherever it has been damaged owing to heavy snow, on a top priority so that militants fail to carve out any infiltration passage. Sources said that major stretch of the damaged border wire fence has been repaired while the left out repair work may take not more than a week.
In addition to this troops, deployed on the LoC and the BSF guarding the International Border (IB) in the Jammu sector have been instructed to plug any loophole in the border management mean cross checking infiltration of militants.
Sources said that around 300-350 militants equipped with weapons, ammunition and high grade explosives have concentrated along launch pads across the LOC and the IB once again and attempts are being made to push them into Jammu and Kashmir to carry out terror activities.
Sources added that main purpose of assisting militants in crossing over to Jammu and Kashmir was to raise the level of violence and other subversive activities. "Agencies across the border are upset over the marked drop in the level of militancy related activities in state and thus are desperate to push ultras into Indian side to accomplish their vested motives, they added.
Sources said, "Separatists and militants, especially those belonging to Lashkar-i-Toiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) outfits have been told to incite people to violence and that can be done by the separatists also when they try to enforce response of people to their calls for shutdowns and protest rallies.
"Militants and separatists have been told not to allow any opportunity to the ruling coalition to settle and provide a stable and clean Government, sources said adding, "once the ruling coalition of BJP and PDP was in a position to provide stable and corruption free Government the ongoing 'Jihad' would lose its teeth.
