| ICF organizes Sham-e-Ghazal | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9: Under its galaxy series, Indian Cultural Forum (ICF) organized a Sham-e-Ghazal in the ever lasting memory of legendary singer of the State Lt. Vijay Malla at- K. L. Sehgal Hall Jammu.
In his welcome address, Prof. Lalit Magotra, the patron of Indian Cutural Forum said that Indian Cultural Forum is committed to organize one programme every month in any language spoken in the state and in the country as well. He emphasized that the Forum is committed to the upliftment of music, literature and cultural heritage and shall provide platform to the younger clan of the performers.
Programme started with a devotional song sung by disciple of Vijay Malla, Tswang Dorjee Rishbh. Rahul Kumar displayed the ghazal written by master urdu poet Pt. Vidya Rattan Aasi in raag Gorakh Kalyan which was highly appreciated. Manju Bala sang in her unique style the poetry of Shahida Hassan in raag Gaawati. Susheel Sharma, a new voice in singing worid, presented a gazal written by Maikash Amrohvi in raag Bihaag. Other artists also performed their items.
Sham Sajan who is President of Indian Cultural Forum and Music Director also performed a ghazal written by Pritpal Singh Betab in raag Mishre Tilang. |
