Samba, May 9: Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba organized Inter School Zonal Level Cricket Tournament at Samba Stadium today. All the participants of Samba Zone participated in the tournament with total number of 60 players from all over the Zone. The Tournament was inaugurated by the District Officer , Subash Chander and Dr. Digvijay Khajuria (Vice Chairman of the Tournament) wherein ZEPO Samba Rakesh Verma was the organizer of the occasion. The championship was held under the guidance of Director General DYSSO J&K Naveen Aggarwal (IPS).
Dr. Dubey while addressing the participants suggested the students to remain fit and disciplined and should take part in games and sports as they have value in life.
Results of the Tournament were as in U-17, Final Match played as Boys HSS Samba vs GHS Sarna , GHSS Boys won by 04 wickets in which Deepak Kohli and Yash Paul of GHSS Boys Samba Scored 40 runs and 22 runs respectively.
The official present on occasion were Anirudh Singh, Rekha Sambyal, Keshav Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bhopinder Singh, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Sandeep Singh, Raj Kumar, Naresh Sharma, Asha Devi, Apurva Chandra Suman Bala, Ravi Singh, Vinod Sharma and Chetan Sharma (Pharmacist). |
