Jammu, May 10:To bring prosperity and peace in the life of the inhabitants, a jagran was organised by the volunteers of Gorkha Nagar.
On the occasion, prominent persons from political background were also present.
The jagran commenced in the evwning and conclude with Aarti in next morning, in which hundreds of devotees from various areas participated and took away the blessings of Goddess Durga for happy and prosperous life.
Various artists from Punjab including Mukesh, Vijaypuria Brothers presented songs on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and other God and Goddess. Skits based on life of Goddess Durga, Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati left the audience spell-bound. During the jagran, devotees were seen dancing on the tunes of the devotional songs, going into the state of trance. The singers were facilitated by Hudh Mata management committee. The jagran was organized by Rahul Kumar, a local habitant. |
