Anganwadi workers, helpers protest against termination 5/12/2015 12:03:06 AM Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: A protest demonstration of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers under the banner of J&K Trade Union Front against the anti-working class and Anti-Anganwadi Worker, helper termination order issued by State Mission Director ICDS. Numbers of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers gathered in Press Club Jammu raised slogans against the ICDS authorities who have issued this illegal and unjustified termination order. They submitted memorandum to him. They demanded from the Chief Minister and the concerned Minister to withdraw this order to save the poor workers and helpers. Addressing protesters, union leader Mohammad Gafoor Dar condemned the callous attitude of the State Government particularly the ICDS Minister who has started harassing and victimizing the poor Anganwadi Workers and Helpers by issuing termination order with malafide intention to enroll his own people in the ICDS by snatching away the "Daal Fulka" of these poor Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. He appealed to the workers and helpers working in ICDS in J&K State to come out on streets and organize protest demonstrations at all the district headquarters against the Termination order to press the State Government for its immediate withdrawal and the protest will continue till the withdrawal of the order.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
