Omar must learn from Mufti, go beyond tweets | How many people in Beerwah have access to twitter? | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 10: Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has urged the incumbent Chief Minister to shun the chopper and take a ride on the Srinagar-Anantnag highway to see its condition. Well, the advice could be taken seriously had Omar also taken a ride on the bumpy highway to feel the pain of the people who travel on it daily. Moreover, it is the Omar led government that left the highway in that shape. The incumbent Chief Minister has other things to do besides setting the wrongs committed in Omar Abdullah's regime right. During national Conference regime especially during Farooq Abdullah's times, the state had its own plane besides a few helicopters. Farooq's obsession for flying in his private plane and helicopters rendered the state penny less. And, if Omar is visiting the Beerwah constituency regularly, he is not doing a favour to the people who voted for him. It is his duty and he must continue the good job. At least, this is a lesson he can learn from Mufti Sayed. Mr Abdullah has to bear in mind that a vast world exists beyond twitter. How many people in the Beerwah constituency have access to twitter? They are more concerned about their bread and butter and also about some mundane issues which Omar could not provide during his tenure as Chief Minister. |
