Jammu, May 10:The election of the All Artist's Welfare Association (Jammu Province) was held here at K. L Saigal, Cultural Academy, Jammu wherein more than two hundreds artists of the various streams participated
On this occasion, Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan Kendra , Jammu was the Chief Guest who assured the all artist's that she will always remain in front in the welfare of the artist and also appeal to the artists to remain unite so far as the great cause for which purpose it has been established and founded.
She also congratulated to all the members especially who were elected today unanimously. Among them are Makhan Lal Saraf , Lalita Tapsavi.
Vikram Sharma shared the presidiums and also appreciated the cause for the upliftment and welfare of the armature and professional artist's. Er. Vijay Sharma was elected as chairman, Mushtaq Kak, noted theatre director elected as Vice - chairman, Dr. Kamal Sharma was elected as President and Dr. Sudhir Mahajan was elected as Gen. Secretary. Seema Devi and Neeraj Sethi were elected as Cashiers.
To run the organization in a systematical way, various Joint Secretaries of different art were also elected included Urja Singh Slathia. In Dance discipline, Suriender Manhas, in Vocal, Rakesh Anand, in Instrumental, Ravinder Shara and Pankaj Sharma in theatre and Rajinder Narang in Media ( Television and radio ) besides Daya Ram has been elected as publicity secretary . |
