JAMMU, May 10:Police today arrested one bootlegger and a drug peddler from different parts of Jammu district. A patrolling party of Police Post, Jourian laid a surprise naka at Jourian and stopped one Motor Cycle bearing registration No JK02X-0293 ridden by Dalip Singh son of Raghubir Singh of Danwal, Jammu. On his search, Police recovered 60 frooties (country made liquor) of 180 ml each from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot along with the illicit liquor. In this regard, a case FIR No. 77/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act was registered and investigation of the case was going on. Similarly, patrolling party of Police Station, Janipur laid a surprised naka at Bhawani Nagar and intercepted one pedestrian identified as Sanju Anand son of Ashok Anand of Shakti Nagar, Jammu. On frisking of the youth, Police recovered 500 gram Charas from his possession. The accused was arrested by the Police on the Spot along with Charas. In this regard, a Case FIR No. 100/15 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation of the case was initiated |
