Jammu, May 21:Vichar Kranti Manch started one month long International Yoga Day celebrations as per the guidelines of Central Council for Research in Yoga and Neturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India also simultaneously started three Months' Teachers Training Yoga Course (TTYC) of KAIVALYADHAMA GS College of Yoga, Lonavala, Pune. Prof. RD Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University was the Chief Guest in the function held at Panch Mandir, Channi Himmat and Soujanaya Sharma, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation presided over the function. ID Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides was the guest of honor. Speaking on the occasion, SK Jain said that the Manch is fortunate enough to conduct Teachers Training Yoga Course duly approved by the oldest Institution of Yoga in the World i.e. Kavalydhama, Lonavala for the first time in the State. He said that the response for enrollment is very encouraging as more than forty five participants have been enrolled in the Course including Doctors, Engineers, Professors, Social activist, Teachers from Delhi Public School, KC Public School, Sai Shayam College of Education and other walks of life. Sushma Misri, Project Director explained about the adoption of twenty five schools (Government and Private) and the programmes on accounts of inculclation of moral, ethical and spiritual values. RD Sharma, Vice Chancellor Jammu University gave the enrolment letters to the students and appreciated the efforts of the VKMI in promoting Yoga and Moral, Ethical and Spiritual values. The students, Principals and staff members of ASN Higher Secondary School, Naveen Shishka Kendra High School, Himmat Learning Field Higher Secondary School, Modern Public School, Lotus Public School and Jeevan Jyoti School also participated. The programme was conducted by Chander Mohan Sharma, General Secretary and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Sarla Kohli, Vice President. |
