Jammu, May 21:Ten-Day Research Methodology workshop organized at Central University of Jammu in the presence of by Minister of State for Ínformation, Eucation and Culture Priya Sethi. On the occasion, she applauded the Department of HRM&OB, CUJ, for the tremendous effort made towards improving the research acumen of scholars across the country. She appreciated the CUJ for pioneering the capacity building initiatives in the region. She further assured full support of the Government for research and academic initiatives. Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor expressed the seriousness of the University in research endeavors and informed that this is the fourth such workshop that has been organized by the CUJ in the last three years. He also announced a Faculty Development Workshop sponsored by ICSSR in the near future for enhancing the research skills of the teaching faculty. Earlier in his address, Prof. Aima apprised that there were 350 applications for the workshop and hence looking into the overwhelming response, another workshop shall be conducted for the research scholars. The Vice Chancellor also informed that Dr. Jitender Singh, Union Minister during his visit earlier to the upcoming CUJ campus had approved three Centers in the University viz. Centre of Earth Sciences, Centre of Atomic Energy and Centre of Space Technology. Earlier Dr. Jaya Bhasin, Head Department of HRM&OB welcomed the august gathering and presented a detailed report of the ten-day long event. She informed that this workshop in collaboration with IBM shall be extended for the desiring candidates in advanced research methodology techniques. She further informed that Prof. Alok Saklani, Director Apeejay School of Management, Prof. Paramjit Singh Judge from Sociology department , GNDU Amritsar, Dr. M. Naveed Khan, Business Administration Department , AMU , Dr. Manorama Tripathi from Library and Information Science, JNU, Prof. D. P. Singh, Social Sciences TISS, Mumbai, Dr Ahustosh Pradhan, Social Work, CUHP, Dr. Manoj Bhat,Eonomics, JU, Dr. Manish Sharma, Statistics, SKAUST, Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Commerce, JU were the eminent resource persons. |
