Youth festival concluded with Instrumental concert

Jammu, May 21:
On the concluding day of the 'Poungar' a 4-day youth Music festival organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages Jammu concluded with Instrumental concert at KL Saigal Hall .Young Artists of the region made this evening a memorable with their Scintillating performances of Instrumental.
On the occasion, Pritpal Singh Betab, Prominent Urdu Poet was chief guest, while Prof Raj Kumar presided. Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary J&K Academy was also present. Pritpal Singh Betab speaking on the occasion complimented the performers, their teachers and particularly the Parents who are main source of inspiration in motivating and facilitating them in the field of Instrumental art. He also applauded the efforts of J&K Cultural Academy for providing an opportunity to the new generation to excel in their respective field of music.
While delivering presidential address Prof. Raj Kumar appreciated the role of Academy by organizing such type of progammes and said that Music plays a great role in order to give shape to inner and outer personality of the child. While appreciating this four-day festival he said that J&K Cultural Academy had initiated its series of activities with a revolutionary spirit and with seriousness. He congratulated all the participants for their suburb performances throughout the festival.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary Jammu earlier welcomed august gathering said that state Academy organizes such events to provide them a plat form, to exhibit their hidden talent in the various disciplines of Music, Folk, Classical, and Instrumental . He further said that Academy would organize such type of activities in the far flung areas of Jammu region as well as outside the region very soon; He said that such programmes will help in calculate a sense of self confidence in budding artists.
The Instrumentalist who were participated included Sidharth Bogal, (Violin) Vidit Shirish(Tabla) Samyak Shirish(Violin) Aryansh Khajuria(Violin) ,Bhavya Koul (Sitar). The accompanist who were accompanied included Hakkam Singh (Dilruba) Amit Anand (Tabla) Karishma Bharti (Violin) and Krishan Lal (Lehara )
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Bhupinder Singh, Choreographer and Vote of thanks presented by Popinder Singh, Editor Punjabi.
