Drug peddlers, thief arrested; 27 Codeine Phosphate Bottles recovered 5/22/2015 12:32:02 AM Early Times Report Kupwara, May 21 :Kupwara Police on May 15, 2015 apprehended a person namely Abdul Rashid Mir son of Sonaullah Mir resident of Battergam Kupwara and recovered 10 Codeine phosphate bottles from his possession. A case with FIR No. 123 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Kupwara. On a routine patrolling in the evening hours of 19-05-2015 at about 1830 hrs, police party from Police Station Kupwara saw a person roaming in suspicious movement with hand bag in main market of Kupwara and was apprehended by the police party. During search, 17 bottles of Codeine phosphate bottles were recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and identified as Rashid Malik son of Ghulam Nabi Malik resident of Malik Mohalla Kupwara. Kupwara police has registered a case with FIR No. 132/2015 under section 8/21 NDPS Act in Police Station Kupwara. Meanwhile on 20-05-2015, patrolling party of Police Station Kupwara apprehended a notorious thief of the area and recovered 02 stolen mobile handsets from his possession. The accused has been arrested and identified as Mudasir Ahmad, son of Abdul Majeed Lone resident of Mughalpora Kupwara. Police has registered a Case with FIR No. 133 U/S 379 RPC of police Station Kupwara. The accused person is involved in various theft cases and total 05 FIR's U/S 379 RPC Stands Registered against the said person, 04 in Police Station Kupwara viz 24/2013, 111/2013, 67/2015, 133/2015 and 01 in Police Station Handwara under case FIR No. 07/2015.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
