3-day science cum environment week concludes at Kishtwar Furqan Academy wins best performer award 5/22/2015 12:32:11 AM Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 21: Three day science cum environment week concluded today with valedictory function attended by officials of civil administration including DC, ADC ,DFO ,CEO ,approximately 550 students from 27schools along with Professionals including teachers and educational staff from various government and private Schools and Colleges. The event is based on themes like waste management, Soil conservation and Renewable source of energy and pollution. During the science cum environment week various activities related to the themes and an interactive session involving inter school quiz competition was held besides inter school debate competition, inter school science exhibitions, interaction with professionals and lastly followed by plantation drive and an activity corner was established where in different science related experiment were performed by the teacher's in situ to make this event more informative and interactive. At the end of the event, General officer commanding, counter insurgency force (delta) gave away prizes to the winners. In the inter school quiz competition Furqan Academy secured the 1st position, Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School begged 2nd position and Islamia Faridiya Higher Secondary School Kishtwar secured 3rd position. In the inter school debate competition, in the senior group Miss Malika Maryam of KV Kishtwar secured 1st position, Miss Mamoona Malik of GHS School Kishtwar 2nd position and Miss Maida Muqadas of Furqan Academy secured 3rd position while in the junior group Miss Insha Iqbal of New Model Academy secured 1st position, Master Neelmani Dubey of J N Shatri Memorial school 2nd position and Miss Kajal Sharma JN Shatri Memorial School secured 3rd position. In the inter school science exhibition Furqan Academy secured 1st position, Asrariya Valley Public School 2nd position and KV Kishtwar secured 3rd position. Finally the overall best school championship trophy is awarded to Furqan Academy School Kishtwar.
