| JAMMU, June 3: A man was arrested for allegedly attacking another person over a land dispute in Domana area. Police have registered a case in this regard. Police sources said one Baldev Singh of Dhiyaran had pending dispute with Varinder Kumar alias Baba and today both had some heated arguments following which a group led by Varinder along with some persons barged into the house of Baldev and assaulted him with sharp-edged weapons." After inflicting him injuries, the assailants escaped from the spot, police sources said. Police said, "The injured was shifted to the hospital the main accused Varinder has been arrested while manhunt to nab the other is on. A case under section 453 and 3/25 Arm Act has been registered and further investigation is going on. Meanwhile, Janipur police registered a case against a person for allegedly threatening neighbour's wife in his absence. Police sources said that advocate Suraj Singh of Indira Colony lodged compliant with police that one Govind Ram Sharma barged into his house in his absence and threatened his wife. Police have registered a case and started investigation. |
