Jammu, June 3: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh Wednesday described Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani as 'Sahib' claiming people like him always want to remain in news.
Speaking to reporters at the end of the public meeting in Rajouri Dr Nirmal Singh said, "Geelani Sahib has been making statements only to attract media attention".
He said participation of people in the large numbers in electoral process has left these people irrelevant and they issue statements to attract media attention and remain in news.
Dr Singh said the issue of setting up of AIIMS in Jammu has been taken up with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister.
He assured people that government would not compromise on the matter of national security and would not tolerate any anti national activity from its soil. |
