Bovine smuggler held, 8 animals rescued 6/3/2015 11:52:24 PM Early Times Report Banihal, May 3: Continuing to its drive against Bovine Smuggling, Ramban Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid at Ramsoo on Jammu Srinagar highway with the arrest of driver of vehicle and rescuing eight bovine animals. "On a specific information, a Police Party led by SHO Ramsoo Inspector A Momin Zargar, under the supervision of SDPO Banihal, Mohd Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, laid a special Naka at Ramsoo on highway In the wee hourspolice sources said adding, "and intercepted one Mahindra Mobile bearing regd no: JK19-1943." "However the driver of the vehicle tried to escape by accelerating their vehicles but police gave a chase and got the vehicle halted, police spources said adding, "during search of vehicle the police recovered eight animals loaded in a in humane manner."
