Jammu, June 3: Majority of parents of school and college going children have appealed to the state Government led by Mufti Mohd Sayeed to order testing of Maggi samples after Kerala Government which has banned the sale of the Maggi and in Delhi 10 out of 13 maggi samples were tested to be containing high dose of led and other substances which are bad for health. These parents have suggested to the present regime to join other states in this regard where a decision has been taken to carry out proper tests of the Maggi the most cherished delicacy for the teens in India. Reports said that Punjab has joined Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Telangana states which have ordered laboratory testing of Maggi noodles samples following allegations of lapses in food safety standards. "We have taken almost 60 samples of Maggi noodles collected from various parts of the state for laboratory testing," reports said while quoting Punjab Heath and Family Welfare Minister Surjit Kumar Jayani. |
