Early Times Report Doda, June 3: Pirates of Chittagong (POC) Bangladesh registered enthralling win over Hisar Haryana by 77 runs and sails into quarter final of the ongoing All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2015 played at Sports Stadium Doda. The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Bn Doda, J&K Bank, Natnoo Furnishing House Doda and Green Model Hr Sec School Doda. After winning the toss first, POC Bangladesh elected to bat first. Batting first, POC Bangladesh set a target of 167 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 18 overs. Mohi-ud-Din Rubel was the highest scorer from POC Bangladesh who scored 51 runs while Arman Ullah contributed 40 runs for the team. From Hisar Haryana, Ashok, Sunil and Pradeep shared 2 wickets each. In reply, Hisar Haryana team failed to chase down the target and scored only 90 runs for the loss of all wickets in 12 overs. Atinder scored 22 runs while Sumit contributed 20 runs for his team, while from POC Bangladesh, Mohd Balal bowled superb bowling and clinched 5 wickets while Anshuman Ghosh, Rejaul Rajiv and Rattan Das shared 1 wicket each. Later on Mohd Balal of POC Bangladesh was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance. The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi and Sanjay Chouhan, as Umpires where Salinder Singh Bhaduria acted as Scorer. |
