Intelligence agencies investigating foreign hands in Jammu clashes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 7: As peace restored in Jammu region after three days of uproar and clashes between various groups of Sikhs and police, intelligence agencies have started investigation in track foreign connections in the ugly episode which claimed life of a youth. Intelligence agencies are not denying hands from across the border in the recent clashes because some radical groups were trying to create disturbance in Jammu region on the directions of their bosses sitting in outside the country. Credible sources said that intelligence agencies are investigation role of some radical elements sitting outside the country in the recent incidents because there were some elements in the protests who were instigating innocent Sikh youth to attack cops. Majority of people, who participated in the protests were protesting peacefully but in every protest there were groups of youth who were instigating people to restore into violence means. Intelligence agencies, sources said, are also trying to identify group of motor cycle born youth who moved from different areas of the city and attacked people with swords without any provocation. Sources said that when a youth was arrested by the police on August 5, 2014, the arrested youth had disclosed about game-plan for their mentors sitting across the border. Punjab Police along with Jammu police had conducted a raid on August 5, 2014 and arrested two youth from Miran Sahib area. After arresting the youth Punjab Police officer had had said "the terror module, funded and co-ordinated from Spain and United Kingdom, was a joint conspiracy of two Pakistan-based terrorist outfits to carry out attacks" He had claimed that the module was being controlled by Ranjit Singh Neeta and Harminder Singh Mintu and funded and co-ordinated by terrorist elements based in Spain and the UK. Although no weapon was recovered from the youth arrested by Jammu police, some Pakistani SIM cards, four mobile telephones and half a dozen local SIM cards were seized from him. The operation led by SSP Jalandhar (Rural) Narinder Bhargav was conducted by Punjab police in Jammu on revelation of a member of the module, who was arrested in Punjab recently when he was on his way to Jammu. |
