92.7 BIG FM organises "Pani Bachao" Painting Competition for Kids 6/8/2015 12:05:36 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 7 : In connection with World Environment Day on June 5, 92.7 BIG FM today organized a painting competition on the theme 'Pani Bachao Life Banao'. The participating students were divided into two categories, viz. Junior and Senior coming from the age-groups 5-8 and 9-16 years respectively. It was an attempt to get this competition into 'Limca Book of Records' by making the students paint at the same time and on the same theme across 45 cities of India where Big FM stations are located. 75 students from different schools and age-groups participated in the historic event which was judged by son of soil Suman Gupta, a painter of International Repute who also happens to be the first Indian to showcase his works inside UN Office at Geneva. The winners in the junior category included Prathamansh Sharma (1st Prize) and Vrindalika was awarded the second prize. The work by senior category participants was so overwhelming that 5 consolation prizes were also given in this category which were bagged by Nitik Mahajan, Sukriti Mattoo, Sara Mahajan, Tajanya Mohan and Khushi Mehra. The first prize was awarded to Seerat Gupta and second was bagged by Vanshee Kaul. All the participants were given certificates. The judge of the event Suman Gupta, after seeing the work of these participants opined that Jammu kids have all the talent to compete with the artists at international level. He also expressed his concern to provide best possible guidance to the upcoming artists. RJs of BIG FM Juhie, Manas and Sarang also briefed the participants and their parents about the BIG FM's upcoming grand event 'BIG Jammu Run: I am the Change' which is going to happen on June 14 at 6 am from Gulshan Ground. All the paintings made by the contestants will be displayed there. Fun games and contests were also played and some exciting prizes were given to the winners.
