Khawas locals stage protest over LPG shortage 7/1/2015 11:40:30 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, July 1: Residents of Khawas in far flung Budhal of Rajouri district today held protest demonstration against the Government for alleged LPG shortage as the concerned Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) department has failed to provide LPG even during the holy month of Ramzan. Locals holding empty gas cylinders and raising slogans against the Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) department alleged that it has failed to provide LPG gas to consumers during the holy month of Ramzan. Protestors including Mushtaq Ahmed, Muneer Hussain, Mumtaz Bi and others recalled that the authorities concerned including CA&PD officials, SHO and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) before the beginning of Ramzan had assured due availability of LPG, kerosene oil, ration at government shops, proper electricity and drinking water but all is in vain. The protesters have warned an agitation if the concerned authorities failed to provide the LPG at the earliest. Later, Sukhpal Singh, SDM ,Kotranka assured the people that the matter already has been taken up with the higher authorities as well as with the CA&PD officials and owners of LPG distribution agencies and soon the things would be streamlined.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
