Married woman among two washed away in Chenani 7/1/2015 11:42:40 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Jul 1: A woman among two washed away in a stream (nullah) while some cattle too got swept in strong currents of water after flash flood triggered in a local nalluh in Chenani of Udhampur district after heavy rains which lashed the district today. According to police sources the deceased have been identified namely as Roma Devi (36) wife of Krishanu and Sagha Singh (52) son of Shatru Singh of Cihaldi in Chenani of Udhampur. "The duo got trapped in strong water currents in a local seasonal nullah which witnessed flash floods due to heavy rains," police sources said, while adding that three animals too were washed away in flash floods reported in the locality." "On receiving the information a police party led by SDPO Chenani and SHO Mahash Sharma launched a massive search operation and fished out the bodies of the deceased today evening, police sources said.
