Three held with Sapphire in Jammu 7/2/2015 12:10:38 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Jul 1: Sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) Jammu today arrested three persons and recovered sapphire from their possession. A case stands registered in this regard. "On specific information party of special branch of police raised a naka at Bakshi Nagar and intercepted three persons who behaved suspiciously on noticing the police naka," police sources said. They said, "During the frisking of suspects, the sleuths of special branch team recovered some sapphire pieces from their possession." "The identities of the accused have been withheld as the case is at infancy stage," sources said, adding, "police is also looking for any possible linkage to the arrest of the sapphire smuggler by Kishtwar police on Saturday who was arrested with 31 pieces of Sapphire and this was followed by arrest of a cop for his alleged misappropriation in maintain record of recovery of precious stone." Sources said the accused along with the recovered sapphire were later handed over to Bakshi Nagar police for further legal action.
