Army, militants exchange heavy gunfire in Tral | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 1: Militants have escaped from the site of an ambush laid by Army to trap them in Saimoh village of south Kashmir's Tral late Wednesday, police sources said. The ultras - three in number - fired indiscriminately on the Army after a contact was established on the Rathsuna road at around 10:30 pm. Taking care of the darkness, they managed to flee from the site after exchange of gunfire, a police source disclosed to Greater Kashmir. Army along with Jammu and Kashmir police have, however, launched a cordon in the entire area to nab them. The search operation was on at the time of filing of this report.
