Strike of Girdawars and Patwaries entered second day 7/2/2015 12:29:28 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, July 1: The pen down strike of Patwaris and Girdawars of district Samba under the aegis of All J&K Patwar Association District Unit Samba entered second day. According to press release, Patwaris and Girdawars assembled at DC office Samba and raised slogans in favour of their long pending demands. They are demanding release of salaries for the last 13 months; stoppage of undue harassment to the field functionaries by officers; maintenance of service books and service records. They are demanding stoppage of undue interference by the Tehsildars and higher officers in the smooth functioning of field as well as office work. "The Tehsildars are calling frequent meetings on daily basis hampering the routine work of general public. Deputy Commissioner issued circular instructions regarding working schedule of Patwaris but due to the frequent holdings of meetings are not able to work as per their notified schedule which is affecting the work of general public", the protester said.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
