jammu, July 13: A meeting of prominent leaders and workers of Peoples Democratic union Distt. Udhampur was held today at Udhampur under the Chairmanship of General Sectary, Vipen Dubey.
In the meeting the leaders of the union unanimously condemned resent attack on (PDP) M P, Nazir Ahmed Laway in Distt. Kulgam, though timely action by the police saved the life of PDP leader which is appreciable.
They said that Laway is an honest, dedicated and secular minded leader and very popular among the public. Attack on such leader is definitely attack on democracy which is in no case tolerable by the public.
They added that it is unfortunate to see that some persons which were supported by the political parties are involved in mischievous persons for their vested interest. Stone pelting, torching PDP worker's vehicle is all due to the envy and jealousy which is due to the increasing popularity of Peoples Democratic Party leadership among the public. The leaders of the trade union demanded that a criminal case under rule should be registered against all those person who are directly or indirectly involved in the attack on PDP Member Parliament Laway. The prominent among others who participated in the meeting were advocate Tariq Mughal, Sahil Manhas (dalli), Dalveer Singh Bhutiyal, Basheer Ahmed, Haqum Din, Tariq Hussain, Subash Chander, Rohit Sharma, Rajeev Sharma, Pritam Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Nasib Singh, Purshotam Kumar, Hans Raj Kalotra and Manish Sharma. |
