Youth electrocuted, people block NH, seek action against PDD 7/14/2015 12:37:48 AM Early Times Report Kathua, July 13: Hundreds of villagers took to road and sought action against employees of PDD department whose lackadaisical approach has taken toll of a precious human life in Gobindsar of Kathua district who got electrocuted after a live electric wire fell upon him last night. Pertinently as per reports one Nitin Kumar (19) was electrocuted due to negligence of Power development department at Gobindsar, 6 Km here from Kathua city which left local simmering with anger who later blocked National Highway for half an hour. The protesters including bereaved family members were demanding action against XEN and AEE of PDD. Led by Som Raj Majotra, BSP leader the protesters came to road and amid slogans against PDD officials and sought action against concerned employees. They also demanded registering of an FIR against top PDD employees. Speakers alleged electric wires including supply wires of 11000 Volts have been old and looming down at Gobindsar and matter was highlighted before concerned authority many a time but no serious step has been taken till date. He said PDD employees are responsible for causality so they sought FIR against erring officers.
