Cong (Y) activists protest against MLA Gandhinagar, burn his effigy 7/14/2015 12:40:28 AM Early Times Report Jammu, July 13: Youth Congress activities alongwith local residents from Channi Himmat staged a protest against the State Government, elected MLA and PDD Department for erretic supply of power which has further exaggerated their problems. AYC Assembly President Gandhi Nagar Jatinder Chib who led the protest while addressing the protestors said that Gandhi Nagar assembly is facing various problems which are basic need for a common man including water, electricity and poor conditions of roads. Chib further said that there is no schedule of water as well as electricity common people are facing acute shortage of power cuts ranging between 12 -15 hours a day. Protestors also alleged that the rain water usually blocks the road of Channi Himmat and damage the road further creating flood like situation in the area but nothing has been done as preventive measures. Alleging a failure to the elected MLA for redressing the problems of people of his constituency, Chib and other speakers said that MLA Gandhi Nagar Kavinder Gupta is not serious towards these problems which the common man are forced to face. They said if administration fails to fulfill demands, the Youth Congress will take to the roads.
