Jammu Fencer shines at Common Wealth Championship in SA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 13 : National Medalist Vansh Mahajan Qualified his league Pool in Junior Cadet Common Wealth Fencing Championship at South Africa. This is the first time a Fencer of J&K State has achieved this milestone achievement under his category in International event to this level. Ace Fencer Vansh entered in knockout pool in the competition held at Cape Town South Africa from 11th to 17th July 2015. Budding Fencer Vansh is studying in Civil Engineering in Govt. Polytechnic Jammu and the long hours and the hardwork required to sustain his studies while training, competing locally and traveling to National and International Competitions, have paid off. All in all, it has been a very exciting year 2015 for him but the greatest honour is to represent country. Vansh gave full credit of his performance to his Coach Shotu Lal who is also accompany with the team and his icons Ujawal Gupta and Rashid Choudhary for achieving his goals. Vansh said he will give his best in knockout pool which is to held late evening today where the fencers of India repose high hopes in him.
