| Traffic snarls a 'routine affair' at Sunderbani | | | Neeraj Sharma Early Times Report Sunderbani, Aug 14: The prolonged horn honking in Sunderbani in main bazaar is not only becoming a manace for the common masses but also affecting the routine trade activities in the main city as the traffic snarls in main city has become a routine to affair which brings life to halt for hours together. Local reports said that people and the security personnel as well are irked over the routine jams on main road leading from one end to other end of Sunderbani. "The daily traffic jams from main chowk to Ashram road - a stretch of hardly a 1 km long, sometimes takes more than a half an hour during peak hours when one is driving a vehicle, a jawan said on anonymity alleging, " the parking of vehicles outside shops often become bottle neck for the traffic resulting long hours jams." He also said that lack of parking sense among locals is major root cause of these routine jams as none want to park their vehicles some yards away from the place where one has any assignment. Meanwhile shopkeepers and locals alleged that only a police man from Police Station Sunderbani has been deputed to control the traffic in this area. Ironically none from Traffic police is seen to be deputed to control these jams. Peoples of the area appealed to the administration and traffic authorities to look into the matter and redress the same. |
